Community event planned for June 20 to provide a sneak peek into Oak Hill South Emergency

Residents of the Hernando County community are invited to preview the newest Emergency Room in the area - HCA Florida Oak Hill South Emergency at a family-friendly event on Saturday, June 20 from 10:00am - 1:00pm. Tour the facility, meet the team and have some fun!

Spring Hill, FL — HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital is hosting a community event on Saturday, June 20 to provide a sneak peek into Hernando County’s newest emergency room.

HCA Florida Oak Hill South Emergency, located at 11242 Spring Hill Drive in Spring Hill, will be the site of the Splash into Summer event starting at 10 am and ending at 1 pm.

The family-friendly event highlights include a preview tour of the new emergency room, hands-on CPR training, splash with a mermaid, fire trucks and ambulances, water activities, free snow cones, face painting and food trucks. Community partners will also be on hand to share health information for attendees.

The new $15.2 million free-standing emergency room is anticipated to open in mid-July.  The facility will feature 11 treatment rooms (including a trauma bay) and offer full-service emergency care, including laboratory, x-rays, CT scanning and ultrasound capabilities.
