National recognition for patient safety excellence earned by South Shore Hospital

HCA Florida South Shore Hospital announced today that it has achieved the 2026 Patient Safety Excellence Award from Healthgrades, the #1 site Americans use to find a doctor or hospital. This award reflects South Shore Hospital's commitment to safe, patient-centered care and puts the organization in the top 5% of hospitals nationwide for patient safety.

Alongside this national recognition for patient safety, HCA Florida South Shore Hospital was recently honored for its specialty care including being named one of America's 50 Best Nationally for Surgical Care and 100 Best Nationally for Orthopedic Surgery. The hospital is also the recipient of numerous accolades based on its exceptional performance in other key service areas including stroke, gastrointestinal surgery and critical care. These achievements further underscore the organization's commitment to delivering compassionate, individualized care at every step of the patient's journey.
