St. Petersburg, FL — HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital and HCA Florida Pasadena Hospital brought the holiday spirit to life this season through the Santa Paws Pet Supply Drive. The two hospitals collaborated to collect essential pet supplies and treats, benefitting the furry residents at Friends of Strays Animal Shelter, a local nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and caring for animals in need.

Throughout the holiday season, colleagues, physicians and volunteers donated much-needed items, including pet food, toys, bedding and other supplies, to support shelter animals. The generous contributions from the hospitals and the community were delivered to Friends of Strays, helping ensure the animals in their care have a warm, safe and joyful start to the new year.

“This initiative reflects our commitment to making a meaningful difference in our community,” said Alyssa Clementi, Director, Communications and Community Engagement, HCA Florida St. Petersburg and Pasadena Hospitals. “We are so grateful to everyone who participated in the Santa Paws Pet Supply Drive. Supporting an organization like Friends of Strays, which provides such compassionate care to animals in need, is truly rewarding.”

Friends of Strays Animal Shelter, a cornerstone of animal welfare in the Tampa Bay area, expressed their gratitude for the support. “We are so thankful for such a thoughtful act from those who have already given so much to others as part of their daily work,” said Jessica Salmond, Communications & Marketing Manager, Friends of Strays. “We are so grateful to our wonderful community!”

The Santa Paws Pet Supply Drive is just one of the ways HCA Florida St. Petersburg and Pasadena Hospitals demonstrate their dedication to fostering healthier and happier communities—not only for people but for animals, too.
