Our cardiac services

Our cardiovascular specialists provide advanced treatment that is personalized to fit your unique needs at our 72-bed progressive care unit.

Heart screening and imaging

We offer various diagnostic services, assessments and labs to identify heart issues and vascular diseases, such as peripheral artery disease (PAD).

Diagnostic cardiovascular tests we perform include:

  • Computerized tomography (CT) scans — These scans combine several X-rays to create a detailed image of the heart's interior, helping us find blockages or other conditions.
  • Echocardiograms — These tests use ultrasound waves to create images of the heart’s chambers and valves to help determine how the heart is contracting.
  • Electrocardiograms (EKGs) — This heart exam electrically traces the heart’s conduction system.
  • Electrophysiology (EP) studies — This study uses catheters (thin, flexible tubes) and wire electrodes to build a 3D model of the heart and map electrical activity.
  • Stress tests — This test is used to see how well the heart functions during exercise. If you can’t walk on treadmills, we offer pharmacological stress tests that use medication to mimic the effects of exercise on the heart.

Cardiac catheterization (cath)

If your doctor finds signs of heart disease or a similar condition, you may be referred to our cardiac cath laboratory for diagnostic or therapeutic care. Here, we perform cardiac catheterizations and other procedures to diagnose and treat heart conditions.

Our laboratory team includes highly skilled and specially trained cardiologists, radiologists and registered nurses. They use several types of heart imaging tests, including EKGs and stress tests, to identify your heart problems and develop your treatment plan.

The laboratory also functions as an operating room where we can perform emergency heart procedures, transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVRs) and cardiac device implants.

Cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU)

Our dedicated operating suites are backed by a state-of-the-art CVICU. The CVICU is staffed by heart specialists who provide high-quality care, compassion and comfort as you recover from heart surgeries.

Endovascular renal denervation (RDN)

Renal denervation is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat high blood pressure, or hypertension. If you are resistant to medication, high blood pressure can cause more serious problems for your kidneys, arteries and the heart.

This minimally invasive procedure uses radiofrequency to disrupt nerve activity. Renal denervation helps lower blood pressure by reducing overactive signaling that can contribute to hypertension, potentially leading to better blood pressure control.

Vascular care

We provide therapeutic care for various conditions affecting the vascular system, including:

Heart and vascular surgery

If surgery is necessary, our cardiovascular surgeons are highly skilled at performing a range of heart and vascular surgeries. We have the expertise and facilities to surgically treat your condition so you can begin working to return you to optimal heart health.
