Our behavioral health treatments and services

No matter what your condition is, our behavioral health specialists are committed to providing you with the best possible care.

Intensive outpatient program  (IOP)

Our IOP provides services to adults who need intensive support to manage their mental health. These conditions can include but are not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, PTSD or addiction. It provides an outpatient level of flexibility with more intensive support than offered in traditional weekly therapy.

Our patients participate in therapeutic groups, which offer peer support and accountability, teaching skills and assistance in achieving personal goals. Masters-level therapists and nurses who have specialized certification in psychiatry facilitate our treatment groups.

Partial hospitalization program (PHP)

Through our PHP, all sessions focus on identifying and treating situational stressors to facilitate recovery. Treatment is customized to fit each patient's unique needs. A combination of group therapy, individual therapy and closely monitored medication management is the most effective treatment for behavioral health illness. This program meets five days a week for five hours.

The PHP works best for those who:

  • Are 18 years old and older
  • Have symptoms of depression, anxiety or other mood disorders
  • Need short-term stabilization
  • Are at risk for psychiatric hospitalization
  • Are stepping down from psychiatric hospitalization
Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT)

ECT uses a brief electrical stimulation to treat severe symptoms of mental illness. It involves the application of an electrical stimulus to the scalp. Most patients who receive an entire course of treatment find rapid relief from their symptoms. However, they should have a complete psychiatric and medical assessment to determine if ECT is appropriate.

Often, ECT is used to treat severe depression. A doctor may recommend ECT if a patient does not respond to depression medication or tolerate the side effects. ECT can also help patients with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

A team of doctors, nurses, and anesthesia specialists work together to administer ECT in a specially equipped area. It is usually given two to three times a week for a total of approximately six to 12 treatments. We meet individually with each patient to determine the number of appropriate treatments that are best for them.
