St. Petersburg, FL — HCA Florida Northside Hospital today announced its 2025 community impact, highlighting a year of charitable contributions and volunteer efforts that supported local health initiatives and improved lives across Pinellas County.

In 2025, the hospital contributed tens of thousands of dollars to local organizations such as Lealman Asian Neighborhood Family Center, The Pineapple Projects, and Feeding Pinellas, as well as local schools like Boca Ciega High School and John Hopkins Middle School, along with various national partners such as the American Heart Association, YMCA and National Association for Mental Health Initiatives and American Cancer Society.

“We focus our contributions on key impact areas that directly effect a person’s wellbeing including cancer care, heart health, nutritious food, healthy families, mental health and access to careers in healthcare,” said Richelle Hoenes, director of communications and community engagement.

When HCA Healthcare says "We Show Up®," it means more than at the bedside for patient care, the healthcare system also shows up for its community. Northside Hospital colleagues gave over 700 volunteer hours to various non-profits from animal services to beach clean-ups and care cards for the elderly.

Looking ahead to 2026, HCA Florida Northside Hospital plans to expand its outreach efforts and continue building strategic partnerships that promote health and wellness in the neighborhoods immediately surrounding the hospital to make the greatest impact in the community we are located in.
