HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital is expanding emergency medical services for Venice and the surrounding areas with the opening of HCA Florida Venice Doctors Emergency. The new freestanding emergency room is scheduled to open in mid-2025. Hospital leaders invited community partners and the media to take a behind the scenes tour and sign an interior wall near the nurse’s station to leave their permanent mark on this new community resource. When it opens, the new emergency room will be a new, state-of-the-art, freestanding emergency room serving residents in Venice and the surrounding area. It will add approximately 30 full time jobs to the community including: physicians, nurses, paramedics, radiology technicians, security guards and housekeeping staff. The facility cost roughly $16.3 million to build and equip with the latest medical technologies and will be 10,860 square feet with 11 treatment rooms, including a dedicated area for EMS and trauma patients.

HCA Florida Venice Doctors Emergency is part of the HCA Florida Healthcare family, Florida's largest ER network. Our board-certified physicians and highly-trained nurses diagnose and treat all emergency conditions, including: chest pain, stomach or abdominal pain, severe head trauma, and upper respiratory infections.

Located at 901 US 41 Bypass South in Venice, we offer 24/7 emergency care, cutting-edge diagnostic technologies and, as part of the HCA Florida Healthcare network, no cost transfers to another HCA Florida Healthcare hospital statewide when hospital care is needed.
