Hospital welcomes in spring season with event for colleagues and their families

Nurses and doctors traded their stethoscopes for bunny ears and Hawaiian shirts for just a bit recently. Colleagues at HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital gathered for a special event to celebrate the spring season. Their families were invited to join in the fun at the event called, “Spring Fling.”

There were crafts, games, face painting and food. These gatherings give colleagues an opportunity to spend time together outside of work, connect with their loved ones and enjoy seasonal fun.

“We know the strength of our hospital starts with our people,” said Joe Rudisill, CEO of HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital. “We have these events throughout the year to show how much we appreciate our team and to say thank you to their families who we know are at home supporting them when they are here at work with us supporting our community.”

In addition to Spring Fling, the hospital also hosted a Winter Wonderland, Fall Festival and plans are in the works for upcoming summer activities.
