Postpartum depression support

Pregnancy and birth are wondrous and lifechanging experiences. Even so, many women experience the "baby blues" after birth, which may be described as feelings of sadness and fatigue. However, if these feelings last for more than a short time, it could be postpartum depression.

If you feel you may have postpartum depression, you're not alone. Postpartum depression is common. In fact, about one in eight women report having postpartum depression symptoms.

If you need help, we recommend talking with your obstetrician-gynecologist (OB/GYN) or nurse if you experience postpartum depression symptoms. Our team prioritizes helping you get the support and resources you need to feel better. Seeking help is the first step to feeling like yourself again.

Important information about sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS)

It's important to know the risks of SIDS.

Reduce the risk of SIDS

Some tips to remember after you give birth to your little one include:

  • Always place your baby on their back to sleep, for naps and at night.
  • Do not allow smoking around your baby.
  • Keep soft objects, toys and loose bedding out of your baby's area.
  • Keep your baby's sleep area close to, but separate from, where you and others sleep.
  • Place your baby on a firm sleep surface.
  • Think about using a clean, dry pacifier when placing your infant down to sleep.
