Hudson, FL — HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital announced today an $8,000 donation to the United Way of Pasco County to support programs that provide critical mental health services to children, families, and veterans throughout the region.

The contribution will be directed at two United Way initiatives that closely align with the hospital’s mission to strengthen community wellness and expand access to mental health resources:

  • Hero to a Child — Provides mental health therapy and support services for children, youth, and families navigating trauma, instability or emotional challenges.
  • Warrior Wellness — Offers mental health counseling, peer support and wellness services for Pasco County veterans and their spouses to help address PTSD, stress and reintegration challenges.

“Mental health affects every community, every family and every age group,” said Sally Seymour, CEO of HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital. “Supporting these programs is not just charity — it’s an investment in the wellbeing of our neighbors. Hero to a Child and Warrior Wellness provide life‑changing services and we are proud to stand with United Way to ensure more people receive the support they need.”

United Way of Pasco County works with partners across the region to close gaps in mental health care, improve access to counseling and strengthen long‑term wellness for vulnerable populations. HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital's donation reinforces its ongoing commitment to community health, outreach and resource expansion beyond the walls of the hospital.

“We believe in being more than a healthcare provider,” Seymour added. “We are a community partner. When we strengthen mental health resources, we strengthen Pasco County.”

The funds will be distributed directly to the programs to enhance therapy services, outreach efforts and support tools for children, veterans and families in need.
