Areas where volunteers are needed
Our volunteers assist in many areas in our hospital, including:
- Education
- Emergency room
- Health information management/medical records
- Information/reception desk
- Lab
- Nursing services
- One-day surgery
- Surgical waiting room
- Transporters
- Volunteer office
Adult volunteer expectations
Adult volunteers (18+) are asked to maintain a commitment to their weekly, four-hour shift for a minimum of six months.
Teen/junior volunteer expectations
HCA Florida Pasadena Hospital encourages teens and young adults to apply to volunteer, especially those interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. Because the expectations of healthcare professionals are great and require dedication and commitment, our expectations are that these volunteers balance their school and extracurricular activities so that they maintain their commitment to their weekly volunteer shift for a minimum of three months.
