Our orthopedic surgeons offer robot-assisted joint replacements to patients with hip and knee conditions and injuries. Our robotic surgery system for total hip and partial knee replacements allows your surgeon to create a preoperative plan based on your unique anatomy.
First, we take a computerized tomography (CT) scan of the diseased hip or knee joint. This CT scan is uploaded into the robotic system's software. Then, a 3D model of the joint is created to help preplan the procedure.
During the procedure, the robotic system guides your surgeon within the predefined area and helps prevent the surgeon from moving outside the planned boundaries. This helps to provide more accurate placement and alignment of the implant.
