Panama City, FL — April is National Donate Life month and HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital will host a special flag raising ceremony to be held on Thursday, April 4th at 11:00am Central Time. A special Donate Life flag will be raised in support of Donate Life America’s initiative to honor the generous acts of organ, eye, and tissue donors, the lives of recipients, and the hopeful patients awaiting transplants. The event aims to spread awareness and encourage the community to engage in the life-saving cause of donation.

Donate Life America established the tradition of Donate Life flags in 2006, enabling hospitals and communities to visibly support and commemorate the spirit of donation. This act of solidarity has since evolved into the Flags Across America initiative, a nationwide celebration occurring each April during National Donate Life Month (NDLM). The initiative recognizes the profound impact of donors and highlights the critical need for donations that can save and enhance the lives of patients in need.

The flag raising ceremony at HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital will feature stories of the life-changing benefits of donation and serve as a powerful reminder of the importance of registering as a donor.

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital invites you to join this meaningful event and unite under the banner of hope represented by the Donate Life flag. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of many, demonstrating unwavering support for those who have given the gift of life, those who have received it, and those who continue to wait.
