Volunteer eligibility
While our volunteer program is for community members 18 years and older, we do offer a Volunteen Program designed for people between 16 and 18 years old. We are excited to offer opportunities for students to volunteer with us and be able to see what the inner workings of a hospital are really like. Many of our Volunteens go on to pursue a career in the medical field. Parental consent is required.
Prior to your start as a volunteer, we require that you pass a background check and following that a drug screening will be scheduled; immunization records and Tuberculosis screening are also a prerequisite. We want our volunteers to receive the same background information as our staff members, so we include them in our full day hospital orientation.
