Surgery
Surgery is a branch of medicine that involves treating diseases or injuries by adjusting or removing organs, tissues or bones. Surgery includes both necessary procedures, like cardiac surgery, or elective procedures, such as joint replacement.

Endoscopy
Endoscopic procedures allow doctors to use a thin, telescope-like instrument with an attached camera, known as an endoscope, to get a live view of internal structures that may need closer examination. An endoscopy can also be used to perform a biopsy or remove various tissue. A colonoscopy and bronchoscopy are a few examples of endoscopic procedures we provide.

Our gynecological surgeons are equipped to provide specialized surgical care for reproductive and gynecological needs.
Gynecological surgeries we perform include:

Hernia surgery
A hernia occurs when the interior layers of the abdominal wall weaken, allowing tissue to bulge out of the weakened area. During hernia repair, the bulging tissue is pushed back in, and the abdominal wall is repaired using stitches or mesh. Our surgeons are well equipped to perform both laparoscopic and conventional hernia repair techniques for various types of hernias, including:
- Epigastric (mid-abdomen)
- Femoral (upper thigh)
- Hiatal (upper stomach)
- Incisional (occurring through a scar)
- Inguinal (groin)
- Umbilical (belly button)
Orthopedic surgery
Our leading-edge orthopedic surgical methods are designed to help you get moving again, including after a ligament tear or total joint replacement surgery. When it comes to knee, hip, ankle, foot, shoulder and elbow care, minimally invasive techniques are used whenever possible.
Types of minimally invasive surgery we offer
In addition to our complex surgical procedures, we offer the latest minimally invasive options across all of our surgical specialties. Minimally invasive techniques typically result in less pain, less scarring and a quicker recovery, and are able to be applied in procedures such as:
- Balloon sinuplasty — In this procedure, small, flexible devices are inserted into the nostrils to gently open blocked sinus openings. Balloon sinuplasty works to alleviate symptoms of chronic sinusitis.
- Colonoscopy — In this minimally invasive procedure, we examine the rectum, as well as the colon, also known as the large intestine.
- Laparoscopic hernia surgery — In this procedure, an endoscope is inserted through a small incision, where a tiny video camera allows the surgeon to visualize the surgical site on screen and repair the hernia.
