Neurological care
Neurological care is the practice of medicine that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment and function of diseases relating to the nerves and nervous system. Neurologists and neurosurgeons treat disorders that affect the brain or spinal cord.

Our neurological treatments and services
We provide a full spectrum of neurological services to care for different types of conditions affecting the brain and spine.
Advanced stroke care
Our hospital is recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center by DNV-GL Healthcare. We offer full-service stroke care to patients coming through our emergency room (ER). When local emergency medical services (EMS) teams inform us of an incoming patient with stroke symptoms, we call a "stroke alert." This protocol allows for an expedited evaluation and treatment process.
We offer lifesaving treatment options for patients experiencing ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes. We administer a clot-busting drug — Tenecteplase (TNK) — to break up blood clots causing an ischemic stroke. If TNK is not an option, we can perform neurointerventional procedures on appropriate candidates.
Brain/spine tumor care
If you are diagnosed with a brain or spine tumor, it is normal to be overwhelmed. We are here to offer the compassion and medical expertise you need on your journey. Treatment is available for malignant (cancerous) and benign (noncancerous) brain and spine tumors.
Our cancer care and neurological care services combine to provide patients the multidisciplinary care they need. Treatment options may include neurosurgical intervention, nonsurgical therapies and/or palliative care services.
Spine care
Our neurosurgeons work hand-in-hand with spine surgeons to provide care for acute and chronic conditions affecting the spine. Our spine care services include nonsurgical treatments, such as physical therapy and pain management and minimally invasive procedures. We also treat spine tumors through our cancer care program.
Neurosurgical care
Sometimes, surgery may be required to properly treat your condition. Our team of surgeons performs:
- Neurosurgical oncology
- Neurological rehabilitation
- Reconstructive surgery
- Spine surgery
- Surgical treatment of cranial conditions, including craniotomies
- Vascular neurosurgery
Robot-assisted neurosurgery
Neurosurgery is delicate and requires exactness. This is why our surgeons use robotic surgery to perform certain procedures. Robot-assisted technology is completely controlled by your surgeon and allows for planned, precise movements during surgery.
Our neurological care team
Our multidisciplinary team includes board-certified neurosurgeons, spine surgeons, vascular surgeons, neurologists, emergency physicians and radiologists.
We also have a nursing unit dedicated to caring for patients with neurological conditions. The nursing team works closely with physicians and other team members to provide close monitoring and specialized treatment.
Physical therapy and rehabilitation
Patients may require continued care through physical therapy and rehabilitation following a neurosurgical procedure or a neurosurgical diagnosis. Our inpatient rehab team includes licensed occupational, physical and speech therapists who aid patients in their recoveries. Rehab helps patients relearn daily living activities and regain strength.
