Visitor guidelines
Northwest Hospital remains committed to ensuring the safety of our patients and staff. As we continue to see a decrease in COVID+ patient volumes, in line with a decrease in community transmission of the virus, we are pleased expand our patient visitation effective April 13, 2022 at 6 a.m. Our updated policy will be as follows:
- Non–COVID/PUI patients are allowed two visitors at a time between the hours of 6:00 am and 8:00 pm. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- At this time, no visitors are permitted for COVID+/PUI patients.
- All visitors must read and acknowledge understanding of our COVID-19 screening criteria at security, and must attest that they meet that criteria prior to being granted entry to our facility.
- Visitors who do not meet the screening criteria will be asked to defer their visit.
- All visitors must wear a face mask (hospital-grade preferred) properly at all times while at our facility.
- One overnight visitor will only be allowed in the following circumstances:
- Pediatric patients will be permitted one parent/guardian at all times.
- Labor and Delivery patients may have one birth partner/patient advocate during the entirety of the labor encounter. Certified labor support individual may be permitted on a case by case basis.
- Surgical patients will be permitted one patient advocate pre- and post-procedure.
- Confused or anxious patients will be permitted one support person.
