Edward Simmons
Edward Simmons was dressed in his wedding tux when he was admitted to Woodmont Hospital.
It was his wedding day — a day so many of us have dreamed of. But for Mr. Simmons, his special day took an unexpected turn. Dressed in his tux, Mr. Simmons was admitted into our hospital.
Immediately, our team jumped into action. They brought him a cake, flowers and his favorite candy.
Mr. Simmons was so happy and moved by the small gesture, that he video called his wife to tell her what the HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital Team did to celebrate their wedding milestone.
“It’s so beautiful here in every respect. The team is very caring. Even though it is raining outside as I speak with you, it’s not so dreary inside, because of this team — everything here is happy.”
Mission moments like these are so rewarding and we are glad we were able to create a memorable experience for Mr. Simmons and his wife.
