Bradenton, FL — HCA Florida Blake Hospital continues to elevate orthopedic care in Manatee County with the addition of a new robotic-assisted surgical system designed for total knee replacement. The technology works with multiple knee implant options, allowing surgeons to customize procedures based on a patient’s anatomy.

The new robotic platform uses advanced imaging and real-time data to help surgeons create individualized surgical plans. During procedures, robotic assistance enhances precision and consistency, supporting optimal outcomes and long-term joint function.

“For patients, precision directly impacts recovery and overall success of the implant,” said orthopedic surgeon David Cashen, MD. “This technology allows us to tailor each procedure with exceptional accuracy. That level of customization has the potential to improve implant positioning, leading to better mobility, faster rehabilitation and the greater overall satisfaction of our patients.”

Blake Hospital has earned national recognition for orthopedic care. It has been named one of Healthgrades America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Orthopedic Surgery for seven years in a row (2020–2026) and one of Healthgrades America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Joint Replacement for six years in a row (2021–2026).

“The addition of this robot represents our continued investment in the most innovative technologies available,” said Steve Young, chief executive officer of HCA Florida Blake Hospital. “Our orthopedic program has consistently ranked among the best in the nation, and this new platform supports our commitment to be at the forefront of surgical innovation. Most importantly, it provides patients in Manatee County access to world-class orthopedic care close to home.”
