Families of babies that were cared for in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital were invited back to a special reunion. Hosted on the hospital lawn, parents, children and NICU team members reunited and enjoyed hearing about the growth of these little ones, now getting big.

“It is a day that we look forward to all year. It’s truly rewarding to witness these babies grow, thrive and return to visit us. It reminds us why we do what we do. As NICU nurses, we understand how essential collaboration with dedicated parents is in achieving the best outcomes for our little patients. We feel blessed to have such a wonderful community of caring parents,” said Jamie Enos-Wofford, Neonatal ICU nurse manager at Brandon Hospital.

A studio was set up and a photographer took photos of NICU graduates of all ages for the 2025 NICU Calendar to support the March of Dimes. This calendar fundraiser will kick off in December as a Christmas gift idea supporting a great cause.

At the reunion, families enjoyed playing games and making crafts under the canopy of oak trees. Awards were announced based on NICU statistics, the weight and length of babies at birth and the duration of stay in the NICU. Armwood High School Key Club volunteers helped set up and facilitate this fun event.
