HCA Healthcare honors Brandon Hospital’s D3 unit as Unit of Distinction

HCA Healthcare recognized the D3 Medical Surgical Unit at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital as a 2025 Unit of Distinction during a ceremony broadcast from HCA Healthcare’s headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee.

Units of Distinction represent the top-performing 5% of nursing units across HCA Healthcare. Honored units span 11 specialties, from behavioral health and emergency services to inpatient rehabilitation.

HCA Healthcare selects units based on measurable performance across key areas, including advocacy and leadership, consistency in nursing practice and operations and the ability to leverage scale to improve patient care.

Additional high-performing units ranking in the top 6% to 10% of HCA Healthcare nursing units received honorable mention designations.
