HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital today announced the opening of a new 667‑space parking garage on its campus, a transformative investment to improve access and convenience for patients, visitors and caregivers.

The $36 million project significantly expands on-campus parking capacity, freeing up spaces across existing parking areas allowing patients and their families to more easily access care and connect with the hospital’s award-winning clinical teams. The new garage also includes 13 dedicated electric vehicle (EV) charging spaces, supporting sustainability efforts and the evolving needs of the community.

“This new parking garage is about improving the experience for every patient and family who comes to our campus,” said Corey Lovelace, chief executive officer of HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital. “By increasing our parking, we’re making it easier for our neighbors to access the area’s highest-quality care, whether it’s access to our Emergency Room, welcoming a new baby or an elective surgery at Florida’s #1 hospital for joint replacement. This is another important step in our continued investment in the future of healthcare on the Treasure Coast.”

The garage represents the culmination of several projects completed within the past year aimed at improving patient access:

  • A brand-new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • Expanded labor and delivery capacity
  • The addition of 35 new medical-surgical beds
  • HCA Florida Stuart Emergency, a freestanding emergency room in Stuart
  • A newly constructed medical office building across the street from the main hospital

With the completion of the new parking garage, the hospital is now positioned to advance the next phase of campus improvements, paving the way for several exciting new enhancements, including an expansion of the emergency department, construction of a new three-story lobby and reception area, renovation and upgrades to the kitchen, cafeteria and new outdoor dining areas, upgrades to the cardiac catheterization lab, as well as renovations to operating rooms and outpatient services.

“These projects reflect our long-term commitment to the community we call home,” Lovelace added. “We are proud to continue growing with our community and investing in the services and spaces that matter most.”

The parking garage is now open and available for patients, visitors and staff.
