HCA Florida Northside Hospital proudly joined the Pinellas Park Gateway Chamber of Commerce and the Pinellas Park Medical District for the most recent Walk With a Doc event, bringing heart‑healthy education and community connection to Freedom Lake Park. The morning began with Dr. Mackenzie Elias, one of Northside Hospital’s Graduate Medical Education residents, offering a brief but impactful presentation on heart health. She highlighted everyday steps that can help prevent cardiovascular disease — simple changes like moving more, eating mindfully, recognizing early warning signs, and understanding how something as accessible as a daily walk can significantly improve long‑term heart wellness.

We showed up not only as sponsors, but as active partners in improving community health. Several of Dr. Elias’s fellow GME residents joined her, reinforcing Northside Hospital’s investment in both physician education and community outreach. Their presence reflected the spirit of Walk With a Doc, an initiative built on the idea that health conversations become easier and more meaningful when they happen in approachable, everyday settings.

Northside Hospital’s participation also underscored the hospital’s ongoing commitment to supporting the Pinellas Park Medical District and local Chamber of Commerce efforts to expand access to health education and preventive care. Community events like this one offer a valuable opportunity to bring clinical expertise beyond the walls of the hospital and deliver it directly where people live, work, and gather.

As a leader in heart care, Northside Hospital is nationally recognized for delivering high-quality heart services — from advanced diagnostics and emergency cardiac care to minimally invasive procedures and complex cardiac surgery. That excellence is built on experienced teams, proven outcomes, and a commitment to getting patients back to the moments that matter.
