When minutes matter - emergency care

Bradenton resident Astride Kovacik was home one day and was suffering severe pain. She knew she didn't have time to wait for hours in an emergency room, so she passed several other hospitals and chose to come to HCA Florida Braden River Emergency. She says, "I don't think I had time to sit, when the nurse came and got me." 

Emergency room physician, John Viteritti, DO says, "the model here is we get you in, get you seen,  get you treated and make the experience pleasant and get the right care for you." 

Astride was pleased with her care and the compassion the emergency room physicians and nurses provided. She adds, "Behind the white coat and scrubs, they are people and they took away the anxiety and that's a good feeling to have as a patient."
