Cancer treatments we provide
Our cancer doctors work together to determine the most effective treatment plan for you. Treatment may include:
- Chemotherapy
- Clinical trials
- Radiation therapy
- Surgery
Radiation therapy
We offer innovative radiation therapy services, including image-guided, intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IG-IMRT). IG-IMRT combines advanced radiation oncology with the accuracy of computerized tomography (CT) scanning.
Surgical oncology
If surgical care is necessary, our surgeons can often use minimally invasive surgery. Minimally invasive techniques require only a few small incisions, which speeds up your recovery.
Breast cancer care
Our hospital offers comprehensive breast health services for the early detection of all stages of breast cancer. We provide a full range of screenings and diagnostics in a peaceful and tranquil environment. If cancer is detected, we offer advanced breast cancer treatments.
Colorectal cancer care
We offer screenings for the detection of colon, rectal and anal cancer. With most cases of colorectal cancer, surgical intervention may be required to treat the condition. Your oncologist may recommend chemotherapy prior to treatment, depending on your diagnosis. IG-IMRT may also be recommended after surgery.
Lung cancer care
Our cancer center provides lung cancer screening and treatment. Radiation therapy is often used to treat lung cancer if surgery is not required or if a patient cannot tolerate surgery. Many patients with lung cancer are also treated with IG-IMRT.
Gastrointestinal cancer care
We offer treatment for gastrointestinal cancer, including cancer of the esophagus, stomach, pancreas and other parts of the gastrointestinal tract. Radiation therapy is often used to treat gastrointestinal cancer as a precautionary measure to prevent cancer from reoccurring.
Gynecologic cancer care
We provide screening and treatment for gynecologic cancer, including cervical, uterine (endometrial) and vulvar cancers. Minimally invasive surgery is often required to treat gynecologic cancer. Radiation therapy is commonly used after surgery to prevent cancer from returning.
Cancer rehabilitation
We provide physical therapy and rehabilitation to our patients with cancer. Our physical therapists offer education and treat physical impairments to improve your quality of life. Physical therapy can be beneficial before, during and after cancer treatment.
Some of the benefits of physical therapy and rehabilitation for patients with cancer include:
- Decreased balance issues
- Decreased cancer-related fatigue
- Decreased myofascial, scar and connective tissue restriction
- Increased active range-of-motion
- Increased endurance
- Increased mobility
- Increased strength
Physical therapy can also benefit patients with lymphedema and other cancer-related conditions, such as those affecting the pelvic floor, bladder, bowel and sexual function.
