HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital earns national recognition for wound treatment
Nurses and physicians at HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital’s Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center have been recognized with three national awards for excellent care, patient satisfaction and quality operations.
The Wound Care Center is part of the Healogics network, which supports 600 hospital wound centers nationwide. Colleagues earned:
- The President’s Circle Award, Healogics’ highest honor, placing it among just 35 centers nationwide recognized for outstanding performance in 2025
- The Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Clinical Excellence Award, recognizing centers that rank in the top 10% nationally for comprehensive healing rates
- The center was named a Center of Distinction, an award based on outstanding clinical outcomes during 12 consecutive months, including patient satisfaction scores above 92%
“Every day we see patients healing and getting back to active, healthy lives. These awards show the dedication and expertise our team commits to every patient,” said Kathy Tomlinson, MSN, RN, program director of the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center. “We are honored to be recognized nationally for providing this exceptional care and healing for our community.”
The Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center provides advanced, evidence-based treatments for patients with chronic and non-healing wounds, including diabetic ulcers, pressure injuries and infections. Treatments include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
