Orthopedic care

Orthopedists are doctors who take care of the entire musculoskeletal system. They diagnose and treat conditions such sprains, strains, broken bones, arthritis and osteoporosis. Some of the treatments they offer include recommending lifestyle changes, applying casts and performing surgeries, such as ligament repairs or total joint replacements.

Are your bones and joints healthy?

When something is wrong with your bones or joints, it can be painful and debilitating. We offer quick knee and hip health risk assessments to help you get started on a path to recovery and wellness.

Orthopedic surgeries we offer

If you have a health condition that affects your bones, joints, muscles or tendons, it's important to seek high-quality care before the problem worsens.

Procedures we commonly perform include:

  • Elbow surgery
  • Foot and ankle surgery
  • Hand surgery
  • Hip replacement surgery, including hip resurfacing
  • Knee replacement surgery
  • Shoulder surgery

Hip replacement surgery

If your hip joint is causing you significant pain and limiting your ability to move, you may be a candidate for a hip replacement. We offer both minimally invasive and traditional hip replacement options, depending on your health and damage to the joint. The minimally invasive technique allows your surgeon to access the hip joint from the front of the hip (anterior approach), enabling you to walk the same day of surgery.

Hip resurfacing

This procedure is an alternative to total hip replacement and replaces only a few millimeters of the joint's surface. It preserves more of the bone, and it's often effective for active adults who are 60 years old and younger.

Knee replacement surgery

We also offer knee replacement options to help treat damage to the knee because of arthritis, injury or wear and tear. Our joint replacement surgeons offer:

  • Partial knee replacement
  • Total knee replacement
  • Gender-specific implants

Shoulder surgery

Whether you need shoulder replacement or a rotator cuff repair, our experienced surgeons are here for you. We offer several types of surgery to repair or replace the shoulder joint, including:

  • Arthroscopy
  • Rotator cuff repair
  • Total shoulder replacement

Foot and ankle surgery

We offer advanced foot and ankle procedures to help restore your movement and relieve pain. Procedures and treatments we offer include:

  • Cartilage restoration and joint preservation
  • Deformity correction and reconstruction
  • Total ankle replacement
  • Wound decompression and limb salvage

Hand surgery procedures

Conditions that affect the hand require special attention to detail. Our skilled hand specialists help restore functionality, sensation and movement with:

  • Carpal tunnel release
  • Nerve repair and reconstruction

Preoperative education for orthopedic surgery

We help patients prepare for joint replacement and spine surgery with our preoperative education class. During the class, a physical therapist will cover topics such as:

  • What to expect before, during and after orthopedic surgery
  • What to do for the best possible outcome after surgery, including having a "coach" and being committed to physical therapy

Online classes are not available at this time. Please attend one of our in person classes.

Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR)

We participate in Medicare’s Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR) program which promotes high-quality, cost-efficient and better coordination of care for patients undergoing hip and knee replacement surgery. We work closely with its physicians and post-acute care providers to improve quality and coordinate care from initial hospitalization through recovery. The CJR program permits facilities to enter into financial gainsharing relationships with its collaborators to share in the success of the program.

The written policy for selecting CJR Collaborators is available for download here.
